It is a very lively neighbourhood full of atmosphere all year round, where there are two distinct areas. The lower part of the Realejo is a flat area full of terraces and tapas bars, while the upper part is characterised by its streets and residential area. The Realejo is the tapas area of Granada par excellence.
If you are enjoying a gastronomic day in this neighbourhood, you can also take the opportunity to visit the Campo del Príncipe and contemplate the Cristo de los Favores. Every Good Friday, thousands of locals gather around this image to ask for three favours, following a historical tradition. In the Realejo you can also visit the Church of Santo Domingo and the Casa de los Tiros. Also, walking through the Realejo it is possible to see numerous graffiti by the Granada artist El Niño de las Pinturas.
